The Ranger Kambale Mulonda is recuperating after the attack on the gorilla sector at Tshiaberimu last month. He, Vhosi (who works for the Gorilla Organisation), and Alain Mali are all out of hospital.

Here is Kambale Mulonda with his wife and child. I took this photo about 10 days ago.

Here I am with Alain - who thankfully is also doing much better. In this photo below you get an idea of his wounds.

This is the stain on the floor where WWF officer Nicolas Mbusa Bianzire was shot and killed. It is terrible and we still think of this brutal attack.
